Five Fuel Vessels to arrive Sri Lanka this week

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Five ships with petrol and diesel are expected to arrive this week to Sri Lanka according to Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation.

A ship with 37,500 MT diesel arrived weekend. Currently Sri Lanka is experiencing both Petrol and Diesel shortage in the market. Long queues report at Filling Stations island-wide.

According to the Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila, Sri Lanka’s daily fuel demand has increased.

This 37,500 metric tonnes of fuel vessel will help to ease the ongoing diesel shortage face by Sri Lanka.
