Discussions between Health TUs and Health Minister fail

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The discussion held today between several health sector trade unions and Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has ended unsuccessfully.

Accordingly, the trade unions of Nursing, Complimentary, and Paramedical Services have decided to continue their strike action.

The strike was launched based on several demands, including the elimination of salary anomalies.

The unions also staged a protest march today that ended at the Health Ministry in Colombo causing traffic congestion in and around Town Hall in Colombo 07.
