CEB – stakeholders to discuss ways to obtain fuel to generate electricity

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A special discussion is due to be held today pertaining to obtaining fuel for the Ceylon Electricity Board to generate electricity.

Minister of Power Gamini Lokuge said several factions including the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the CEB and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will join the discussion.

Minister Lokuge said he instructed the Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board and the Secretary to the Ministry of Power to look into the possibility of obtaining fuel from Lanka IOC.
