Digital identity card for youth introduced today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A digital identity card is being introduced today for all youth over the age of 15 and under the age of 29.

The National Youth Services Council stated that the identity card was prepared using an information technology tool that uses internationally recognized blockchain technology.

It has the potential to be used as a database of youth’s educational and vocational qualifications and other qualifications, enabling employers to easily recruit qualified youth for employment.

Officially introduced today, this identity card will be available in the future through the National Youth Services Council.
