(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Power says repairs of the second generator of the Norochcholai Power Plant can be completed this evening.
Media Director Sulakshana Jayawardena said power cuts may not be imposed today, as the generator will be connected to the power grid.
However he informed that a statement will be released today if power cuts will continue in the coming days.
Power cuts lasting approximately 45 minutes were experienced in several areas between 6pm and 9.30pm yesterday, owing to the malfunction of a generator of the Norochcholai Power Plant.
