COVID vaccination cards to be made mandatory when entering public places

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga says that the government has decided to make COVID vaccination cards mandatory when entering public places from January 01.

He points out that the Ministry of Health is taking further steps in this regard.

The Minister stated this at the Gampaha District COVID Committee meeting held at the Gampaha District Secretariat.

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga further stated that it is the responsibility of all citizens to obtain the required COVID vaccine at the first opportunity they receive.

The Minister further instructed the authorities to complete the booster vaccination in the Gampaha District before December 31.
