Two million Pfizer booster doses administered in SL

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Over two million persons have been administered the Pfizer booster dose in Sri Lanka.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 185,888 persons were administered the Pfizer booster dose yesterday, increasing the total to 2,058,791. 189,434 individuals were administered vaccine doses against the coronavirus yesterday. 789 persons were administered the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine while 1,712 individuals were administered the second Sinopharm dose. 549 individuals also received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine while 496 individuals received the second Pfizer dose. 15,862,611 individuals have been fully vaccinated in Sri Lanka, while a total of 31,826,900 vaccine doses have been administered in the country.
