(UTV | INDIA) – Music Album of Atrangi Re launched with a grand concert by maestro A R Rahman

Since the launch of “Chaka Chak”, Atrangi Re’s music has been receiving immense love from the masses all around. The launch of a romantic and soulful number, “Rait Zara Si”, is now extracting even more love from the audience. With the songs climbing up the music charts, the stage is now ready to welcome yet another classic music piece from the album. The music album was launched by the makers in a grand concert by the music maestro A R Rahman. He hummed the best songs of the movie in the concert and left the audience tapping to “Toofan Si Kudi”, “Tere Rang”, “Tumhein Mohabbat” and flute execution of Tere Rang. Besides the legend A R Rahman himself, the concert was attended by Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Bhushan Kumar, Aanand L Rai and Irshad Kamil. There were also some fun stage moments during the concert.

The music album of Atrangi-Re witnesses the coming together of experts from the industry. Composed by the ever legendary A R Rahman, the soulful lyrics are penned down by Irshad Kamil and some of the greatest singers have lent their voices to the songs. Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Daler Mehndi, Haricharan Seshadri, Hiral Viradia and Shashaa Tirupati have sung the bevy of songs including Garda, Chakka Chak, Tere Rang, Little Little, Tumhein Mohabbat, Raith Zara Si and Toofan Si Kudi. The Atrangi Re star Dhanush himself has sung ‘Little Little’ from the album. The music album is an original album with songs in both Hindi and Tamil.

AR Rahman, while expressing his excitement about the album launch, said, “When a film and its plot travels around India, the music needs to move with the story too, and mirror the moods and sentiments of the characters. Stories like Atrangi Re give us the opportunity to try out something different musically. My best wishes to the entire team: Aanand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar, Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.” Producer Bhushan Kumar also commented on the music of the movie and said, “The music in the film celebrates India as we know it! It is a mind-blowing composition by A. R. Rahman and is a perfect example of north meets south. We hope you enjoy the music in the film!”

“One honest confession, I am very possessive about Rahman sir’s songs. If given a chance I would have kept all the songs exclusively for myself. You feel so proud that the entire magic took place in front of you. Every song is like a different colour and in the end, you see a beautiful soulful rainbow,” said filmmaker Anand L Rai. Music albums of Anand L Rai’s movies have always topped the charts and his collaboration with A R Rahman has created magic earlier also, in movies like Raanjhana and expectedly, Atrangi Re would be no different. Produced under the banners of T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films, Atrangi Re features Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in lead roles. The movie will be a Christmas treat to everyone and will be released on December 24 on Disney+ Hotstar.
