Thailand sets up National Agency to prevent cyber-attacks

(UTV | THAILAND) – Under the special law ‘Cyber Act 2019’, Thailand has set up the very first organization to cope with cyber-attack – called National Cyber Security Agency or NCSA. NCSA, which has been established in January this year, has faced unexpected low budgets as most of the country’s budgets were used to fight Covid.

However, Major General Prachya Chalermwat, General Secretary of National Cyber Security Agency, assured that, with less than 50 officers, NCSA had already cooperated with many domestic and overseas organizations to enhance all the Critical Information Infrastructure organizations’ ability to protect themselves from cyber-attacks.
