‘Limit unnecessary travel until end of December’

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Health units have urged the public to limit unnecessary travel at least until the end of December.

Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardana said around 700 COVID-19 positive cases are being reported daily and therefore claimed that under such circumstances, unnecessary travel should be restricted.

Dr. Gunawardana said this is not a time period to visit relatives or engage in excursions.

He urged the public to curtail travel at least till the end of December this year.
