Homeless to increase since Taliban took control

(UTV | AFGHANISTAN) – According to Amid Ahmadi, working with a relief organization in Afghanistan, the conditions of the displaced are extremely tough, and many have, especially women and children, have been homeless since the Taliban took control of the country.

Ahmadi added, before the movement’s control, there were shelters protecting children and the homeless, but as displacement rates increased, many became homeless and in the street.

Ahmadi emphasized that the current situation creates a fertile environment for the increase in cases of violence, early marriage, and even the sale of children as a result of poverty, lack of food, and the relatively rising number of homeless women and children on a daily basis.
