Fuel shortage causes long queues at gas stations in Mongolia

(UTV | MONGOLIA) – Mongolia has run out of fuel leading drivers to form long queues on the roads.

Fuel traders restrict the sale of AI-92 and AI-95 fuels, supplying it only to customers or contractors with their company cards, and with a limited amount of money.

This shortage of fuel is because, for two months from August 2021, the fuel supplier did not supply the ordered fuel as planned due to delays in the maintenance of the plant by the Russian side.

Fuel has also been ordered from Chinese factories, but supply has been severely delayed due to rail freight regulations.
