Fine for price manipulating traders to be increased

(UTV | COLOMBO) – State Minister of Cooperative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna stated that amendments will be presented to Parliament next Wednesday to increase the fines imposed on those who sell goods at higher prices to Rs. 100,000.

This was while participating in a media conference held yesterday (17) on Zoom technology.
