(UTV | COLOMBO) – Jason Statham is set to star in the fast-paced thriller “The Bee Keeper” for Miramax.
Penned by Kurt Wimmer (“The Recruit,” “Salt,” “The Thomas Crown Affair”) and “deeply steeped in the mythology of Bee Keeping,” the unconventional story is said to explore universal themes.
Miramax is currently searching for a director and filming is slated to begin in September next year in London and Atlanta. Statham, Wimmer and Bill Block are set to produce.
This marks Statham’s third recent Miramax film following Guy Ritchie’s “Wrath of Man” and the upcoming “Five Eyes”.
