New “Spider-Man” trailer breaks viewing record

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sony’s first trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has shattered online viewership records.

Kicking off on Monday night following its premiere at CinemaCon, the trailer racked up an-all time viewership record of 355.5 million global views in its first 24 hours.

That easily surpasses the previous champ, the first “Avengers: Endgame” teaser, which had 289 million views.

It’s also more than double that of the second trailer for the previous entry “Spider-Man: Far From Home” which hit 135 million views.

Globally, the trailer also generated the largest 24-hour social media conversation volume of all-time with 4.5 million mentions.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” opens exclusively in movie theatres on December 17th.
