Public transport not segregating from Aug 1st.

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Transportation authorities are considering operating public transport by not segregating individuals as essential service providers and non-essential service providers, from the 01st of August.

State Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama said they plan to reduce the number of buses in operation and allow general use of public transport.

Inter provincial bus and train journeys have been halted from today, till the 1st of August.

However, State Minister Amunugama said plans are in place to operate a limited number of buses and trains from the 1st of August.

The State Minister added permission has been granted by authorities to continue public transportation in a limited capacity.
