More arrested for failing to adhere to health regulations

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Over 300 individuals were arrested yesterday (26) for failing to adhere to health and safety regulations.

Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 361 persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine laws in the past 24 hours.

Accordingly, a total of 44,216 persons have been arrested so far for violating the relevant law.

Meanwhile, according to the health guidelines issued in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, massage parlous, cinemas, betting centres, clubs, pubs and bars, gymnasiums, outdoor or indoor parties are not allowed, he added.
