(UTV | COLOMBO) – Focus Features has set an April 8th 2022 release date for “The Lighthouse” and “The Witch” director Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated next directorial effort “The Northman”.
Alexander Skarsgard, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Bjork star in this epic revenge thriller set in the 10th century. The tale explores how far a Viking prince will go to seek justice for his murdered father.
Little is known about the characters or further plot details, though Bjork is set to play a character named ‘The Slav Witch’. Eggers co-wrote the screenplay with Icelandic poet and novelist Sjon.
Universal Pictures International will release the film internationally on the same date.
