Demonstration launched in Pottuvil demanding justice for minorities

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A demonstration was launched in Pottuvil today (03) demanding justice for the injustices perpetrated against minorities.

The 3-day demonstration is being carried out from Pottuvil in Ampara to Polikandy in Jaffna jointly by minority political parties, civil organisations, and civil society members.

The demonstration is carried out to highlight all forms of injustices perpetrated against minorities surrounding the cremation of the remains of Muslim COVID-victims, wages of estate workers, and those reported missing during the armed conflict in Sri Lanka.
