(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Members of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) on the directives and guidance of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne yesterday (21) rendered assistance to the people who were displaced following the collapse of garbage dump in Meethotamulla.
The NSVU donated goods including sleeping mattresses, mats, cloth racks, water retaining barrels, mosquito nets, and large screens for the use of the affected people.
These essential goods were handed over to the Economic Development Officer Mrs. M.M.N Damayanthi who is also the Officer in Charge for taking over goods at Terrence De Silva Maha Vidayalaya in Kolonnawa.
