Over 3,000 recover from Minuwangoda COVID-cluster

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 3,762 individuals in the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda coronavirus cluster have recovered and have been discharged thus far.

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said 3,350 contacts of persons of the Minuwangoda apparel factory and 412 employees are among the group that has since been discharged.

The Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster has recorded 9,492 cases as of yesterday.

1,041 persons in the cluster have been identified as employees of the Minuwangoda apparel factory, 1,007 from the Peliyagoda Fish Market and 7,444 close contacts of those of the factory and the Peliyagoda market.
