Police introduce 1991 and 1917 hotlines

UTV | COLOMBO – The Police has introduced two new hotlines to report incidents related to narcotics, national security, underworld gang members and extortion.

Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Jaliya Senaratne speaking at a media briefing said information pertaining to such incidents can be provided via 1991 and 1917.

Complaints can also be lodged over the illegal acquisition of wealth and incidents related to money laundering.

The hotlines can be contacted from tomorrow.
