3,851 continue to remain at quarantine centres

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Army says 3,851 people are currently undergoing quarantine measures at 39 facilities operated by the Tri-Forces.

Army Media Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe also noted a total of 14,735 persons have completed quarantine procedures at special centres thus far and have been directed to their residences.

Meanwhile the Army Media Spokesman said another 225 people are due to be released from quarantine facilities after being subject to PCR tests today.

Additionally, 290 persons returned to the island from Dubai this morning on a special SriLankan Airlines repatriation flight.

They were subjected to PCR tests, following which they will be directed to quarantine facilities based on the results.
