‘4,463 persons held at 44 quarantine facilities’

(UTV | COLOMBO)  – The Sri Lanka Army says 4,463 persons are being held at 44 quarantine facilities maintained by the Tri-Forces island wide.

Army Media Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickremesinghe said the number of persons who have left for their homes after completing the quarantine process has increased to 13,615.

He added 77 others who completed the quarantine period are scheduled to be released today after being subject to a PCR test.

Brigadier Wickremesinghe said 704 Navy sailors who contracted COVID-19 have been discharged after making complete recoveries.

The Army Media Spokesman said 173 Navy personnel continue to receive in-house treatment.

In addition, 109 Sri Lankans from Chennai, India, one from Doha, Qatar and another from the Maldives are due to arrive in the country today.
