Three fresh Coronavirus cases take total to 1,804

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka have moved up to 1,804 following the detection of three more virus-positive patients this evening (06).

These fresh coronavirus cases are naval personnel who are under quarantine, the Department of Government Information said.

Earlier today, the country’s recoveries tally escalated to 891 as a total of 33 coronavirus patients, who had recovered from the disease completely, were discharged from the IDH (12), Welikanda Base Hospital (04), Colombo East Base Hospital (01), Homagama Base Hospital (07) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (09).

Accordingly, 902 patients infected with Covid-19 are currently under medical care at hospitals, says the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

In the meantime, 11 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.
