176 Indians stranded in SL, repatriated

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 176 Indian nationals, who were stranded in Sri Lanka due to coronavirus travel restrictions, have left the island.

The group left for Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata via a special Air India flight.

Meanwhile, 700 Indian nationals are due to leave for Tuticorin, India via ship on Monday, the 1st of June.

Furthermore, SriLankan Airlines says the flight that arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport this afternoon, was carrying Chinese nationals and not Sri Lankan citizens.

The group left for Beijing, China at 2:15pm.
