Cabinet agrees to import dairy cattle

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to import dairy cattle to Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing today Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Ramesh Pathirana said the Cabinet approved a proposal to import 2,500 dairy cattle from Australia.

The Cabinet Paper in this regard was tabled by Minister Chamal Rajapaksa in view of increasing the production of liquid milk within the country.
