Total COVID-19 cases in SL rise to 1,182

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 16 more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 today, once again raising the number of confirmed infections recorded in Sri Lanka to 1,182.

Accordingly a total of 41 individuals have tested positive for coronavirus thus far today.

477 active cases are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, while 695 persons have recovered after medical treatment and been discharged.

Another 79 patients are under medical observation on suspicion of having contracted the virus.

Sri Lanka also recorded its 10th death today, a 51 year old woman who had been repatriated from Kuwait and was in isolation at a quarantine centre.
