Special flight leaves for Australia to bring back stranded Sri Lankans

(UTV | Covid – 19) – A group of Sri Lankans stranded in Australia due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 virus will be repatriated today (09).

A special flight (UL 604), chartered by Sri Lankan Airlines, has departed for Melbourne, Australia at around 7.30 am this morning.

The flight is scheduled to return to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at around 5.20 am on Sunday (10).

The repatriated Sri Lankans will be decontaminated and sent for mandatory quarantine upon their arrival.
