Observe social distancing in transport – Health DG

(UTV | COVID-19) – Health Services Director General (DG) Dr. Anil Jasinghe urged the public in areas where the curfew is being relaxed to observe social distancing rules in public transport, gathering places and stores.

Dr. Jasinghe stated that only 2 passengers would be allowed in three-wheelers until the situation improves.

Buses should also carry only half of the regular number of passengers and there should be strictly no overcrowding. Face masks have to be worn when going outside one’s home. Moreover, all barber saloons have been ordered to close following recent incidents.
