Over 1,000 arrested in 24-hours for violating curfew

(UTV | COVID-19) – Over 1,000 individuals have been arrested for violating curfew regulations during the past 24-hours that concluded at 6.00 this morning (14).

Accordingly, 1,600 individuals have been arrested during a special Police operation launched yesterday (13).

A total of 26,600 individuals have been apprehended since 20 March when the Government initially imposed the island-wide curfew as a containment measure.

The island-wide curfew currently in place is expected to be lifted at 6.00 AM on Thursday (16).
