Work from home period extended till April 20

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lankan Government has extended the “work from home” period till 20 April.

The President’s Media Division (PMD) said that the decision to extend the work from home period has been taken in order to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka.

The PMD said all Government, Semi- Government and Private institutions, except those declared as essential services, have been instructed to comply with the decision.

The President’s Media Division pointed out that this period should not be considered as a Government holiday.

The Government had earlier declared 20- 27 March and 30 March – 03 April as periods to “work from home” and later extended it till 10 April.
