No international arrivals until further notice

All international Airports in Sri Lanka will continue to remain closed for the operation of inbound international commercial passenger flights until further notice.

The ban was imposed until the 7th of April in a bid to prevent and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.

The Civil Aviation Authority said the restriction on inbound commercial passenger flights have been extended considering the present climate in the country.

However, the CAA said during the period, Aircraft departures with passengers originating from Colombo, stop overs and transit passengers, emergency diversions to the Bandaranaike International Airport, Technical landings at the BIA and inbound ferry flights without passengers will be permitted.
