(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapksa in his capacity as Minister of Finance has ordered the Secretary to the Treasury, to ensure salaries of all state sector employees for the month of March are paid on Monday, the 23rd.
The directive applies to corporations, statutory boards, departments and other state institutions.
The Prime Minister stated that the government is prepared to ensure all duties are fulfilled in the wake of the threat of the coronavirus.
The Premier also commended the efforts of the health units to safeguard the country and its people.
