Werahera RMV closed until March 31st

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The government says the issuance of driver’s licenses and all other relevant services handled by the Werahera branch of the Department of Motor Traffic and all district offices will be temporarily suspended from tomorrow until the 31st of March.

Issuing a statement, the government said the measure was taken as a coronavirus mitigation response.

Accordingly, all dates and times given for written and practical driving tests from tomorrow until the 31st of March will be cancelled.

The Commissioner General of Motor Traffic however said advice will be issued pertaining to any other dates in question.

Accordingly, the Government Information Department has urged to public to refrain from visiting Werahera and district Motor Traffic Department offices, to obtain drivers licenses, or for renewal and other related services.
