Two patients suspected to have contracted the coronavirus have been admitted to hospital.
The two individuals were initially admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital after showing symptoms of fever.
They were later to be transferred to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH).
One patient has been reported from the Kandakadu quarantine centre, while the other has been identified as a pilgrim from Somawathiya.
