Sale of meat and liquor banned on Independence Day

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The sale of meat and liquor will be banned on Sri Lanka’s Independence Day tomorrow (04), the Government stated.

The Government Information Department said that to mark the 72nd Independence Day anniversary, slaughter houses around the island will be closed while meat stalls will also be closed.

The Government Information Department said that all liquor stalls in the country will also be closed.
