Private hospital fees will be regulated soon

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Private hospital fees will be regulated soon after the report on the regulation of private hospitals is studied, Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne said.

The report on the regulation of private hospitals was handed over to the Health Minister by the Chairman of the Commission for Regulation of Private Hospitals, Director General of Health Services Dr. Jayasundara Bandara on Monday (17) at the Health Ministry.

The report prepared by an international company includes the range of the fees for treatment, laboratory services, as well as other investigations.

The prices of about 40 private hospitals were taken as a sample to prepare this report by the company.
