“A majority win at General Election certain” – Min. Jayantha Samaraweera

(UTV|COLOMBO) – State Minister Jayantha Samaraweera says the government will secure a majority at the General Election and establish a stable government.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle, the State Minister they will face the General Election under a strong alliance.

He added preparations are underway to field two strong candidate groups for the upcoming General Election and the Provincial Council Election.

The State Minister stated that persons capable of fulfilling the tasks of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s policy statement, who are free of corruption and wastage and are knowledgeable will be chosen as candidates to contest elections.

State Minister Samaraweera said measures are also being prepared to form a strong and efficient Parliament.

He said he believes the people will grant the government a majority power in Parliament and will vote for the right persons who will be part of the Sri Lanka Nidahas Podujana Alliance.
