“No divisions within the UNP” – MP Bandula Lal Bandarigoda

(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party  (UNP) Parliamentarian Bandula Lal Bandarigoda says there are no divisions or controversies over the party’s Presidential candidate.

Speaking at a function the MP said they have already held talks with their Presidential candidate and decided that they will rally together past UNPers and other politicians of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

Parliamentarian  Bandarigoda claimed the UNP does not function according to a system where relatives of a family sit at the breakfast table and choose their Presidential candidate, adding that they presented various different opinions, and chose the next Presidential candidate.

The MP said the UNP is a party that respects democracy, claiming that they have proved it to the country and the world on Thursday.

MP Bandarigoda reiterated that they named the country’s next President.
