MS to appear before PSC probing 04/21 today

(UTV|COLOMBO) -President Maithripala Sirisena is due to record a statement today before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) probing the Easter Sunday attacks.

Chairman of the Committee Deputy Speaker of House Ananda Kumarasiri speaking to a prominent online news portal stated that the Committee will record a statement from President Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat at 10 this morning.

Kumarasiri said the final report of the Parliament Select Committee will be submitted on the 22nd of October.

He said the President’s statement will be the final statement that the Parliament Select Committee appointed by the Speaker will be recording.

He noted the reason behind the delay is the translation of the report in to all three languages, stressing it must be translated before being submitted in Parliament.
