Tight security measures for Nallur Festival

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake while on a recent visit to Jaffna stated that there would be tight security measures at this year’s Nallur Kandaswamy Temple Festival.

Senanayake assured that security arrangements provided during the Festival would not cause any inconvenience to worshippers or those witnessing the Festival activities.

The Army Commander visited the famed Temple, Holiest Saiva Hindu Shrine, and took part in observances during his visit to check on the security arrangements for the Annual Festival that draws tens of thousands of worshippers.
