Goldstein, Daley line-up “Dungeons and Dragons”

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Having been replaced on “The Flash” film, directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (“Game Night, “Vacation”) are now themselves replacing Chris McKay (“The LEGO Batman Movie”) on the “Dungeons and Dragons” film at Paramount Pictures.

Hasbro’s role-playing game was previously adapted in 2000 by New Line in a notoriously terrible film starring Jeremy Irons, Marlon Wayans and Justin Whalin. In recent years, the property has been at the center of a legal battle over its rights which was settled in 2015.

The story follows a warrior and his band of mystical creatures as they embark on a dangerous journey to find a mythical treasure. Michael Gilio will pen the screenplay while Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis are producing. Goldstein and Daley also penned “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Horrible Bosses”.
