Rs. 5 million reward for Sammanthurai informant

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickramaratne has approved a grant reward of Rs. 5 million to the individual who had provided information which led to the discovery of explosives in Sammanthurai.

Wickramaratne issued the directive as the discovery of these explosives based on his information averted a major tragedy following the Easter Sunday attacks.

The information led to the discovery of a stock of explosives hidden inside 2 houses in Sengal Gramaya and Nindavur on 26 April.
