(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Western Provincial Councillor of the United National Party (UNP), Royce Vijitha Fernando who was arrested over an alleged assault of an individual in Katana, is to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today (08).
Royce was arrested by the Katana Police yesterday (07) over a complaint on an incident of breaking and entering into a house, assaulting an individual, and stealing private property on 23 March.
Earlier, the Police arrested 5 suspects in connection with the incident and later remanded.
