Train strike ends; Services as usual – Strict legal action if strikes continue

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The one day strike carried out by Train Drivers, Guides and Station Masters ended at midnight.

Joint Convenor of the Railway Operations Officers Trade Unions Alliance Lal Ariyarathna said that train services have returned to normal now.

Trade Unions said that they carried out the strike since authorities have so far not provided a proper solution to their problems including salary anomalies.
