1990 Service launched in the Eastern Province

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The 1990 Suwaseriya Emergency Ambulance Service was launched in the Eastern Province yesterday during a special ceremony in Ampara.

Accordingly with the introduction of the 1990 Emergency Ambulance Service to the Eastern Province, the service is now available in all nine provinces across the island.

Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar says 1990 Emergency Ambulance Service is a great example of what India and Sri Lanka can achieve together.

Speaking via a video message at the final phase launch of the 1990 Emergency Ambulance Service, the Indian Foreign Minister noted how the service had helped Sri Lanka during floods and the recent terrorist attacks.

High Commissioner of India, Taranjit Singh Sandhu who was also present at the event expressed that India will forever remain the ‘First Responder for Sri Lanka’.
