Navy apprehends a person with heroin [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Naval personnel arrested a person with 13.12g of heroin at Karamba area in Kalpitiya on Friday (07).

Accordingly, Naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command in coordination with Police Narcotics Division-Puttalam apprehended this person with 13.12g of heroin which was prepared for sale, during a raid carried out at Karamba area.

The arrested person is a resident of Palaviya area in Puttalam, aged 34. Narcotic Bureau in Puttalam conducts further inquiries about the suspect.

Further, on 2nd June also, Navy arrested 2 persons with 35g of heroin at Mandalakuda area in Kalpitiya.
