Navy finds 140.760 kg of Kerala cannabis [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Naval Personnel during a routine patrol found 140.760 kilogrammes of Kerala cannabis and a trawler abandoned in the Mannar sea area on Wednesday (05).

A group of Naval Personnel attached to the North-Central Naval Command, during a routine patrol conducted in the seas off Pesalei, Mannar spotted an abandoned trawler and found this stock of cannabis in the vessel, when searched. It is believed that the suspects had escaped the scene, having noticed the Naval Personnel conducting routine patrols.

The seized stock of cannabis and trawler were handed over to the Thalaimannar Police for onward legal action.
