Warners delays “DC Super Pets” a year

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Pictures made a surprise announcement – that an animated “DC Super Pets” movie was on the way.

Now, Deadline reports that while the project is still happening, it has been delayed with the kid-friendly film pushed back from 2021 to a May 22nd 2022 release – nearly a full year later than planned.

The film is said to be based upon Capstone Kids’ DC Super-Pets! series with Superman’s beloved canine companion, Krypto, joined by Ace the Bat-hound, Streaky the Super Cat, Supergirl’s horse Comet, and the two super-powered monkeys: Gleek and Beepo.

Jared Stern and Sam Levine are directing while Patty Hicks are producing. It is presently the only DC animated project slated to hit cinemas in the near future.
